Three the hard way

When I took this photograph, I quite enjoyed how 'far Away*' she looked --- almost symbolic to how 'old' (as in long ago) her music is, relative to where hiphop is now.

Plus, I'm not one to photograph 'important' (sometimes popular people) but that could go against my ambitions of being a 'photo-journalist'.

Ah well.  PartyPeople was mutha-effin' dope --- problem for the regulars was how 'packed' it was --- I'm sure Kenny was happy with that. There is absolutely nothing like PartyPeople in Johannesburg, dare I say, South Africa?

The question most asked that day:

Who is Bahamadia?

  7. I cried tears of blood cause I couldn't make it. Mainn did I want to see her...truth be told I only probably know that '5 oclock in the morning' song...probably but I wanted to go just to hear that song - when last did I hear that song? I lurved that song. I lurved her because of that song. Ah man.
I can only imagine a night like that. To have somebody like that on an intimate stage/location like Roka. MAINN!
Won't somebody post a detailed post about what it was like etc. etc. more pictures - flckr? Pweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeze.
    I was there in spirit.

No regrets though. The saturday was well spent with loved ones. At some point I thought, hey maybe bahamadia will come where I am. haha

  10. I don't mean to be schoolin' people --- but, err, Heartwarmer --- Nonchalant did "5 oclock in the morning" [ http://youtube.com/watch?v=saRt2Vhrvxc ], not Bahamadia.

But, Kenny played it though during the people. ;-)
