Street Corners

On Saturday, I was asked by lari, to photography street corners of Johannesburg for the tv show she is working on. It took about 240+ photographs and I think I only like 5.

It was my second photography essay, it wasn't an essay though, I think I have a problem with authority.  I am incapable of following instructions.  As soon as somebody says, 'that looks like it, photograph it.', I shutdown, the art is out the window, it becomes just an image.

Alas, I will find a balance. What I want to do is become a photo-journalist, capture photographs in my terms, in my visual intepretation.

I suppose, then, I will never be a professional photographer.
