24 Hours

You know what they say, the first 48 hours are the most important one's.  As I am typing this, my craving for a smoke, is overwhelming, almost altering my mind thinking process, most importantly my reasoning.

I find myself arguing with myself, convincing myself to smoke. Addiction!, but I only have to survive the next 24 hours and then the cravings will subside, slowly then gradually.

Aside, I need to rethink this site, it's getting quite popular, but I think my photography is slacking, alas, maybe I need a redesign.

  1. Nice twin cups. Hey I was in Alex twice on saturday. 3rd and 13th.
  2. ... i think amma remove this photograph, or this is going to be last of photographs of people.
  3. *.. i mean, where is the ART? Moreso, where is the 'exploration of photography'?

    *rant.
  4. isn't the challenge to find it. To find the art. Maybe its easy to take 'interesting pictures' of other things.
Maybe its a little harder to take 'interesting' pictures of people. And maybe that's the challenge. And could be an interesting journey as you look for that 'art'.
  5. ... ah yes!
    ... yes!
    ... you are right.
    ... merci.
  6. ...y do u have to remove the picture??!!
so does she fall into the 'cut'...
  7. ... yes, she is the cut. (albeit) she is young.

the reason I want to remove it is because of abe's comment. I am not comfortable with the idea that, her tits are what makes the photograph, I'd like to think the photograph's composition, texture and context makes the photograph worth being here.
  8. Let he, who without sin cast the 1st stone..... Check your focus. And obviously I am admiring the composition, context and wonder about the texture... damn if i could only touch, feel and .....
  9. ... okay,,, let me explain,,, remember the photograph I put up, after Muff town? Somebody said they want more skin, more flesh, and I refused. I refused because, that is not what this is about,,, it's not about T&A (tits & ass),,,

it's about photography,,, but if my 'style' of photography becomes pornographic, then I need to remove my 'grandmothers' name.

Then I am doing it all wrong, then I have done something wrong. So abe, if your first response to the photograph is, 'Nice twin cups.', then I am doing something wrong, my grandmother would not be impressed.

I am not impressed with the current 'flow' of photographs. What is also important to know is that, I put up photographs not to please whom ever that comes here, in fact its all about ego, my ego and I think I have been ignoring that.

    maybe I need a smoke.
  10. NO...NO...don't smoke...
abe...u see what u did now....??!!!

honestly i didn't even realise her cups...but maybe its bcos i'm female...and i don't see that as the focus of the picture...

but i guess one will see...what one wants to see!!!

i like ur thinking though, lebogang...respect for ur grandmother...
  11. ...........................nuf respek.
  12. i hate it when people _ lose the plot _ specially when my work is concerned. arrrr ... ya _ basically im with lebo _ on this one.
  13. word.

*aside: the addiction is killing me, I can feel every single blood vessel in my body, gagging for a bit of nicotine.
  14. PLEASE...don't smoke..*for me*... :)
  15. ... it appears I have managed to fight the craving... I just have to go through today, just today,,,
  16. I don't think you've done anything wrong.
The whole beauty of photography is that it is boundless. And what's more is that different people will appreciate the photograph for different reasons.

So while the most beautiful photograph could be of a naked woman - some people will think the way you took the picture is absolutely beautiful, some may think your choice in subject matter is beautiful, some people may just think its porn. There are so many different ways of interpreting art. Its like poetry to some degree - only the person who wrote it really know what its about. Everybody else will interpret it the way they see fit. Its all relative.

So, if the goal is to be a great photographer...I don't know really - but I reckon you should post what YOU want to post. And if the intention is to post a picture (and not a a pornographic picture) then thats what you need to remember, regardless of how other people interpret your pictures.

    Blah, blah, blah.
Me, I don't like this picture. But so what? Will you take down a picture just cause nobody likes it?
  17. I hear you.

Its like when somebody say, "take a picture of me/us?", I cringe. In fact, I take the picture, I show them the picture, when I go, I delete it.

I think now, I can agree with Paleta Crowe that, photography is art. Art is an expression of self, period.
  18. yo!the way i larfed when looking at the comments to the photogrph of the girl looking down with relaxed hair and a vneck top that reveals her cleavage.....
    eish, the comments are fu-nny!
i agree with abe-it is a view of the woman's boobs more than anything else-
well her hair aswell, but that feels secondary to her boobs-that is the focus-
i find the only difference between this and a shot in an fhm pic or a clip from a rap video, is that you are not famous, and it was not staged.
  19. maybe that is something to explore-the relationship between these photos and your view of your grandma...
  20. what i lyk though:it wasn't staged, 4 me that's the essence. art is what it is to the individual. i might not lyk the pic today. may look at it 2moro and say wow or even lol
