Hiphop is Dead.

Long Live Hiphop

Hiphop lives here in cyphers; in the streets. Hiphop is not in the record deal. Hiphop is not in our culture. Hiphop is a culture. Hiphop is not about you. You are hiphop.

Hiphop is simple. Its rhymes and beats; an emcee and a deejay period. I believe hiphop in South Africa is still underground and has to stay there until it has matured enough to be a commercial entity then it can be sold.

I was at 88 on friday night and Kwame Experience was perfoming, I got bored, but DJ Ken-Zero(?) played, might tight. When was the last time you heard "Whoa Ha! Got you all in check" at a club?
