I (re)saw a movie Woody Allen made --- I'll confess I am a Woody Allen fan, his scripts are extremely intelligent. I quote:

If life is meaningless, whats the point of living ... Freud says we live for work and sex ... [Woody Allen's character] says "work gives us the illusion of meaning and sex gives us the illusion of continuity." -- from the film Anything Else

Most of his films are located in a city (mostly New York) --- beautiful stuff.
