I feel you on the sleep thing. I am an insomniac myself. The difference between you and me, though, is that I like sleep and I'd love to be able to sleep through a whole night. I'm even thinking of going for sleep therapy.

I think if peops are keen on the idea, volunteers should meet and discuss the details.
Somebody in marketing/advertising should be one of the volunteers for sponsorship's sake. We'll need to organise a couple of freebees so...

As for the when? Well...anytime is tea time I suppose. To give ourselves time to organise midyear seems sensible.

Somebody needs to create some kind of database of darkie bloggers perhaps.
Maybe create some kind of website that says - if you want to sign up, sign up - there could be some kind of weekly newsletter as well I suppose that goes out to darkie bloggers in SA, African and maybe the world
You know just catching up on some kind of developments, or events like the ice+blok sessions.

I remember at the blogging indaba some issues came up about black representivity, or the lack thereof. It's a plague I tell you.

So yeh...lets do it.
Lets get organised people. Do our own shit...

Kewl on the web technology front. That's definitely needed. The other key person really would be the sponsorship hunter, anybody know anybody like that. Maybe somebody who runs an events company or something like that. Anybody volunteering? I suppose we can all multi-task.

I just made some calculations, we are already in March. Midyear is in three months - so we gotta get moving if we still want this for midyear.
I suggest Monday for a meet. Which monday is the question. Either next week or the week after that (Monday12/19).
This doesn't need to be complicated at all. It doesn't have to be hard at all.
The simpler the better actually.
